Club Rules

Colony Swim Club members agree to follow the guidelines and policies on this page to ensure that our club is safe and enjoyable for everyone! 

Lifeguards are on duty at all times. All CSC Members and Guests are expected to comply with the requests of the lifeguards on duty.

Grounds:

  • Absolutely NO glass containers are allowed anywhere at Colony including: the clubhouse, pool area, and the picnic areas. (Bottles, jars, pyrex dishes, etc.)

  • No smoking or vaping allowed anywhere on the Club’s grounds.

  • No running or horseplay in or around the pool area, locker room, and Clubhouse.

  • No beverages, food, or gum allowed in the pool or on the pool deck.

  • No food or coolers allowed in any grassy area of the club. Coolers can be stored in the clubhouse. The consumption of food is only allowed on the patio or in the picnic area.

  • No saving or “hunkering down” of picnic tables in the clubhouse picnic area.

  • Members may have any beverage in any grassy area of the club as long as it is in a personally owned, non-glass, non-disposable cup with a lid.

  • Members are required to clean up after themselves. That includes cleaning kitchen utensils and counters, cleaning up their own trash and cleaning BBQ grills with a brush and wiping the stainless surfaces.

Pool:

  • THREE WHISTLE BLASTS MEANS CLEAR THE POOL!

  • There will be an adult swim (17 yrs. or older) for 15 minutes every hour at the :45

    •  Children must stay behind the yellow line during this time.

    • Children under 2 yrs. of age may swim if accompanied by an adult.

  • No flotation devices will be allowed outside of the kiddie pool, except during special events, subject to manager’s discretion.

  • Only our Blue Vinyl Pool Balls in the Ball Bin can be used in the pool, and  the Water Basketball only in the pool-basketball area.  NO WHIPPING these balls or playing catch across the pool, especially when it is crowded.

  • No use of other balls (volleyballs, footballs, basketball) or other toys in the pool. 

  • During Open Swim, diving is restricted to the deep well.

  • Children are permitted to use the diving board and slide only if they can swim to the ladder unassisted.

  • Feet first, on your back going down slide

  • Only one person at a time on the slide ladders.

  • Swim directly to the nearest ladder after diving off the diving board or sliding down one of the slides.

  • White gate doors must be closed at all times.

  • No chicken fights.

  • When the lap lane is in use, only persons seriously swimming laps are to be in the lap lane.

  • No swimming with open wounds or bleeding.

  • Swimmers with shoulder-length or longer hair must wear their hair pulled back in a rubber band or braided. If preferred, a bathing cap may be worn.

Please be sure to supervise your kids, especially when they're in areas they can’t touch or if they are basic/beginner swimmers.

Kiddie Pool:

  • Children (6 yrs or younger) using the kiddie pool must be supervised at all times by an adult. (Lifeguards do not supervise kiddie pool.)

  • Babies must wear swim diapers. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the Snack Bar.

 All users of the club are required to know and follow these rules.

Guests:

  • Current guest fee is $5 per guest, or maximum $15 per family.

  • Up to ten guests are allowed per visit, on up to 15 separate occurrences per season.

  • Guests are allowed on all days except Members-only Day. Unaccompanied 14 - 16 year olds are only allowed 3 guests.

  • Waitlist members are not permitted to bring guests.
